Royal Heights Tours is a small, family-built, “boutique” tour company based in Victoria, BC. We began organizing and escorting our own tours all over our amazing world 23 years ago.

at least 60 different countries!

How we organize our tours for you!
We design our tours to maximize your time in each country so we can explore the sights that make that country unique. Wherever possible, we slow the pace and stay 2 or 3 nights in the same location. Our tours are designed by company president Norman Bruce and most are led by Norman and Julie together, along with the knowledge and experience of our expert [and amazing!] local guides. Our maximum group size of 16 travellers (frequently less) allows us to really get off the beaten path to meet the locals, explore the historic monuments and witness the natural beauty of our host country. Our “mission” is that, with every tour, you return home wiser, humbler and with a re-energized perspective on life.

Due to the responsibilities of a growing family, we led our tours separately for the first 18 years. In 2017, after our kids moved out and we sold the family house, Norman and Julie chose to become nomads – travelling the world and leading our tours together. In March 2020 our world turned upside down, as did the livelihoods of so many of our colleagues in the travel business, with the arrival of the COVID-19 virus. We came home to Victoria to “stay put” until it was safe to travel again.
We love what we do and so we are looking forward to getting back on the road – laughing, exploring and wondering at the many parts of the world we have yet to explore. Seeing new things, meeting new people and exploring new places is literally wonderful. Learning is fun – and laughter is good for you!
We are proud that our tours are exceptionally good value – we include all sightseeing and entrance fees as outlined in our detailed itineraries, breakfast & dinner daily as well as gratuities for the driver(s) and local guide(s.)
Please note that we do NOT sell our tours through travel agents. We invest 100% of our time and energy in delivering first-class service.
